The Chief engineer pre - opening or the Chief Engineer for Commissioning of buildings and structures – who is more important? This question has been bothering me for many years.I have wanted to address this issue for a while, and now I’ve decided to share my thoughts. During the commissioning process, chief engineers often sign acceptance documents without completing commissioning activities, turning a blind eye to deficiencies and poor equipment installation. This ultimately leads to severe problems for the operational team, turning the first year into a nightmare with leaks, clogged pipes, boiler malfunctions, etc. The list of issues can be endless.Therefore, I appeal to business owners to require pre-opening chief engineers to work for a minimum of 3 years after the facility opens.
