Arkansas high schools are attending the Midwest Showcase hosted by the MBCA in Kansas City, Kansas this upcoming weekend. It’s a major recruiting weekend for prospects. The following players are ones to watch during the action.
Elijah Wilhelm
HEIGHT 6'9"
POS C
CLASS 2025
State: Arkansas
School: Bentonville
Club: KC Run GMC
Wilhelm fills a key role for any roster. He’s a presence in the paint at 6’9 with plenty of mass & strength on his frame. He rebounds well and scores on post touches. A traditional 5 man that runs rim to rim. A multi-year varsity player for Bentonville, this season is when he’ll take on a top role. Bentonville is a traditionally successful program and Wilhelm is a top prospect. Colleges looking for a double-double center that brings extremely solid play will like his projection.
Highlights
Derrick Hudson
HEIGHT 6'7"
POS PF
CLASS 2026
State: Arkansas
School: Fayetteville
Club: MOKAN
Hudson stands out in a positive way on the floor. He’s a 6’7 forward that can make a major impact around the rim. Only a junior, he has youth on his side. An explosive player that finishes lobs, dunks, and blocks shots with authority. He’s a vertical presence and knows his role. For Fayetteville more scoring opportunities will be provided to him in the near future. This weekend should start off what’s going to be an action packed junior season for Hudson.
Courtland Muldrew
HEIGHT 6'3"
POS PG
CLASS 2025
State: Arkansas
School: Springdale Har-Ber
Club: Team Griffin
Muldrew is more than just a stockriser within his state, but a stockriser nationwide. He has cemented himself as a player that high-major programs will have circled in to see this weekend. A 6’4 scoring guard that can fill up the box score. He has a crafty finishing package, confidence beyond the arc, and pushes tempo in transition. It looks like he doesn’t see the defense at times. Muldrew has an opportunity to earn offers from some of the biggest programs in the country.
DeMarion Lee
HEIGHT 6'4"
POS SG
CLASS 2027
State: Arkansas
School: Springdale Har-Ber
Lee is another Har-Ber product that will be a player of note. He’s an athletic guard prospect that has grown to around 6’4 as of late. For Har-Ber he’s the future and someone they will build around down the road. He’s a rebound and run wing that can handle the ball like a guard. Smooth in the mid-range as well. His foundation is solid and there’s plenty to like from an upside standpoint. A great 2027 prospect.
CJ Larry
HEIGHT 6'3"
POS SG
CLASS 2025
State: Arkansas
School: Jonesboro
Club: All Arkansas Red
Larry is a two-way PG prospect that will be a name to know for Jonesboro. He’s a pass first player that defends at an elite level. His toughness at the lead guard spot is an asset to any team. Colleges evaluating Larry are going to see a winner in every sense of the word. A by any means type of player. Shooting, passing, and locking up his matchup are all things he does. Larrys puts his footprint on the game.
