A Quick Intro to Dobermans…

The Doberman Pinscher was originally developed by German tax collector, Louis Dobermann, in the late 19th century. Believe it or not, tax collecting was a dangerous job back then. Walking around with hard cash made Louis a lucrative target.

The exact ancestry of the Doberman is a murky one. However, historians believe that the Doberman was developed by crossbreeding a variety of then-popular breeds. Dog breeds like the Rottweiler, German Pinscher and Black & Tan Terrier have all been speculated.

But because of the Doberman’s superb work ethic, people around the world had taken notice. In fact, that’s how they’ve remained popular dogs all these years. Combine this with their loyalty and instincts, and you have yourself a superb guard dog.

Our Dobe is the sweetest and most loving dog that I’ve ever had. She knows when I’m upset or needs a “hug.” Plus, she’s very intuitive with people in our family.

Weighing nearly 100 lbs of solid muscle, they’re naturally brave and confident on the field. In fact, I bet there are few things that can scare these dogs, making them ideal for those that need protection. Plus, they’re as vigilant as dogs come.

And despite popular belief, Dobermans are loving dogs that tend to get along with older kids. Though a Doberman will need socializing and obedience to blend into society. With it, it’s likely they’ll develop a deep bond with all members of the family.

In terms of intelligence, Dobermans are the 5th smartest dogs for obedience and work. That is, they respond well to obedience training and are exceptionally fast learners. As long as you can keep them stimulated, they’ll surely thrive.

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (2)

The Grey Doberhound is a hybrid of the Greyhound and Doberman Pinscher. Thus, providing a pleasant contrast in temperaments. While Dobermans are often intense and serious dogs, the Greyhound is going to bring a playfulness to the mix.

Always friendly and docile, the Grey Doberhound can be the perfect fit for any family. Not only will they retain the territorial instincts of the Dobie, but also the gentleness of the Greyhound. However, don’t let this fool you – they are extremely active.

Greyhounds, after all, are race hounds. So you can expect the athleticism and agility of that parent to really shine through. That being said, they’ll need an extensive amount of daily activity for them to remain healthy and calm-ish.

3. Doberman Bulldog

Parents: Bulldog x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (3)

Like the name says, the Doberman Bulldog is a hybrid of the Doberman and English Bulldog. In this new yet wonderful hybrid, the friendliness of the Bully and the fierceness of the Doberman combine for a truly unique hybrid dog.

Bulldogs are hefty and durable dogs that can pack on some weight. On the other hand, Dobies are lean and muscular with an athletic frame. Doberman Bulldogs, however, will have a body that lie somewhere in between.

Calm, dignified and friendly, the Doberman Bulldog has an adventurous side that can be a great trait for any active owners that love to explore. Though, they do need a decent amount of exercise. Plus, it’s even more crucial they receive early socialization.

4. Boxerman

Parents: Boxer x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (4)

The Boxerman is a designer dog resulting from the deliberate cross of the Doberman Pinscher and Boxer. Among all dog breeds, these two may be the most fearless dogs we have in our homes. But even so, the Boxerman can be friendly and sweet too.

Boxermans are going to be large, durable dogs. Both parents sport an athletic frame intended to work through tough conditions. As such, the Boxerman will likely be an excellent working dog with admirable work ethics.

However, this doesn’t mean they don’t love to play. The Boxer parent brings a fun-loving vibe into this Doberman mix. And with socialization and obedience training, these dogs will be calm and gentle and calm around kids and other pets.

5. Doberman Pit

Parents: Pit Bull x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (5)

Both the American Pit Bull Terrier and Doberman Pinscher are “feared” dogs in the canine kingdom. In other words, the hybrid Doberman Pit, is an excellent option for those looking for a guard dog with a loving and playful side.

Doberman Pits have the quick speed and strength of the Doberman, while adding a bit more beef to the frame (thanks to the Pit side). Looks can be deceiving with these hybrids, as they can be the sweetest dogs in the home.

Of course, physical qualities may vary depending on which side they take more from. Still, they tend to inherit the facial structure of the Pit Bull, while retaining the body of the Doberman. Needless to say, a firm and consistent hand is crucial with these dogs.

6. Dobie Schnauzer

Parents: Schnauzer x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (6)

Dobie Schnauzers are typically crossbred using a Standard Schnauzer and a Doberman. But depending on which Schnauzer size variation is used (the “Giant” variation is in play), they can be large or, XL! Either way, they’re marvelous hybrids.

There’s still little information regarding this Doberman mix because they’re just so new to the world of designer dogs. However, judging from both parent breeds, we can guess that they’ll be intelligent and lively dogs, with a silly side to them.

They will be vigilant dogs and as a result, be highly capable watchdogs or guardians. Through sufficient training, expect a kid-friendly mix that’s loving, loyal and hard-working. Plus, they’ll have your back no matter what the situation.

7. Bloodmann

Parents: Bloodhound x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (7)

The Bloodmann is not your everyday Doberman mix. They’re one of the rarest crossbreeds, but stunning dogs regardless. These hybrids combine the gentle and affection of a Bloodhound with the confidence or bravery of the Doberman.

While temperament contrasts largely in each parent breed, the Bloodmann inherits an even balance in temperament. They’re not too energetic, but not exactly laid-back either. In fact, they’re just right for those that need a loving dog for companionship.

It’s possible they inherit the incredible noses of the Bloodhound. And if that’s the case, they may have the tendency to wander off and chase after interesting scents. We suggest providing them a nice large backyard, though fully secured.

8. Siberian Pinscher

Parents: Husky x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (8)

The Siberian Pinscher, otherwise known as the Dobsky (for short), is a hybrid of the hyperactive Siberian Husky and the much calmer Doberman. Together, they’re an unbelievably beautiful yet elegant dog with all the best qualities of both parents.

One physical trait that Siberian Pinschers can inherit is the gorgeous blue eyes seen in so many Huskies. While their bodies and heads tend to resemble a Husky’s, the signature black coats of the Doberman is hard to avoid.

Given the working backgrounds of both parents, you can already guess they’ll be filled with energy and enthusiasm. When they play, they’ll play hard. So, you’ll want to make sure they receive at least 2 hours of exercise a day!

9. Beagleman

Parents: Beagle x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (9)

No, the Beagleman isn’t a villain from a horror flick. Rather, they’re the Beagle and Doberman mix that’s passionate, inquisitive and courageous. Beagles are always a great dog to crossbreed with, as they’re even-tempered and calm.

As such, the Beagleman is friendly but also calm in the home. That’s not to say they won’t be alert at all times, but they’re definitely less intense than pure Dobies. In addition, they tend to inherit the vocalness of Beagles – so expect howling.

Make sure you have the capacity for these dogs before bringing one home. They need plenty of exercise and a big home with a large yard is preferable. On the bright side, they don’t need too much grooming and maintenance.

10. Borderman Collie

Parents: Border Collie x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (10)

Bordermans are anything but lazy dogs. When you cross a Doberman with arguably the hardest working herder, you’re going to get an intensely active, focused and driven hybrid. And, that’s exactly what the Borderman Collie is.

Both parent dog breeds rank among the top 5 for smartest dogs. In fact, Border Collies are the top dogs for obedience and working. That particular parent works for the sake of working, thus the hybrid will be highly responsive to obedience training.

In the Borderman’s case, socialization is just as important as exercise. Without these two key aspects, the herding instincts can come through. The last thing you would want is for your dog to start nipping at your heels!

RECOMMENDED: 27 Best Border Collie Mixes

11. Springerman

Parents: Springer Spaniel x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (11)

When you crossbreed the English Springer Spaniel with the Doberman Pinscher, you’ll likely get a sweet and charming hybrid, that is, the Springerman (bonus points for the superhero name). Again, they’re not a popular Doberman mix, so the appearance may vary greatly.

However, it’s common to see the Springerman take in the ears of the spaniel, or at least, with a little bit of extra fluff on the ears. Other than that, they may inherit the face of the Doberman and a body that can lean both ways.

Springermans are affectionate, devoted and of course, highly intelligent (as both parents are too). Though they get along great with kids and other dogs, they do need to plenty of exercise, otherwise they risk developing separation anxiety.

12. Dobernese

Parents: Berner x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (12)

The Dobernese is truly a magnificent gentle giant, combining the docile Bernese Mountain dog with the self-confident Doberman Pinscher. The Dobernese can double as a companion dog and guard dog with complete assurance.

These dogs are rare, but they’re a spectacular dog. The even-temper of the Bernese can give them a friendlier vibe than a purebred Dobie. However, when they sense danger around the home, you can expect them to investigate.

Given both parents, it’s likely that they’ll be highly adaptive dogs with a good grasp on reading human emotions. So whether you’re feeling down or ready to play, you can count on these dogs to be by your side the whole way.

13. Dobergi

Parents: Corgi x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (13)

The Dobergi is one of the most bizarre clashes, combing the short-legged Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a muscular yet tall Doberman. Looks will undeniably vary, but they’re much cuter hybrids than most people would imagine.

Corgis are known for their stubby short legs, which is a dominant gene and thus inherited in the Dobergi mix too. In addition, the elongated body of the Welsh Corgi may also be present. But what the Dobie parent brings is the coat color and ears.

Expect to see an active temperament, as both parents were bred for physical work. And while Corgis can bring in the herding instincts into this hybrid, Dobergis can be just as happy as a loving companion dog in a home.

RECOMMENDED: 32 Cutest Corgi Mixes

14. Doberkita Inu

Parents: Akita Inu x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (14)

The Doberkita Inu is as confident and dignified as they come. Combined with the loyalty of the Akita Inu and the braveness of the Doberman, the Doberkitas are a very underrated guard dog in the world of designer hybrids.

Both parent breeds are highly alert and vigilant dogs, capable of spotting the slightest change or even the smallest movement on your property. In fact, there are few dogs as loyal as either the Akita or Dobie, thus ensuring a dog willing to defend you no matter what.

With properly socialization and obedience training, Doberkitas can be great with older kids. It is well documented that Akita Inus have a soft spot for children, and it’s likely that that special affinity will be passed on to the Doberkita.

15. Golderman Pinscher

Parents: Golden Retriever x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (15)

No Doberman mix list is complete without the Golderman, or rather, the Golden Retriever and Doberman Pinscher mix. Given the Golden’s sweet and friendly demeanor, this hybrid will be perfectly suited for a much wider variety of families.

The Golderman will be eager to please, as they’re inherently people-pleasing dogs. And with such high intelligence from both parents, obedience training will be a breeze. But note, the energy and enthusiasm of the Goldens tend to shine through.

It’s also likely that a Golderman will inherit the dense fluffy coat of the Golden. Even so, their coat colors will more likely resemble the Doberman’s. They will thrive in most families, but make sure you provide the dog with their essential exercise.

16. Doberdane

Parents: Great Dane x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (16)

The Doberdane is the amazing cross between the world’s largest purebred, that is the Great Dane, with the Doberman Pinscher. Consequently, you’ll get a versatile big dog that’s capable of protecting a home and cuddling up on the couch.

Doberdanes are naturally gentle dogs that have a lot of confidence no matter the situation. In the home, they can be sweet and affectionate. However, with outside strangers, they tend to be more reserved, as seen in their parents.

There’s no question a Doberdane will be loyal. If they sense a threat, expect them to come to your aid and give off a few warning barks. And thanks to the Dane’s friendly demeanor, they are excellent choices for older kids.

17. Dobie Argentino

Parents: Dogo Argentino x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (17)

The Dogo Argentino (sometimes called Argentina Mastiff) and the Doberman mix may be your ultimate guard dog. Both parents were bred for protection, so you can expect an equally solid guardian with high territorial instincts.

Contrary to popular belief, the Dobie Argentino is a loving and friendly dog with members of the home. Believe it or not, they’re tolerant of rough play from kids too. Parent supervision and socializing is needed for these dogs, though.

We don’t recommend these dogs for novice owners. In fact, it’s crucial that a consistent and firm owner handles this dog. Dobie Argentinos will have dominant personalities and without proper training, they could assume the alpha role.

RECOMMENDED: 24 Majestic Mastiff Dogs

18. Rotterman

Parents: Rottweiler x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (18)

There’s no doubt that the Rotterman is a highly attractive family companion. In fact, both Rotties and Dobermans share very similar qualities in both looks and temperaments. For this reason, it isn’t a surprise that Rottermans are popular.

The Rotterman will be a powerful and big dog that requires firm handling. If you can become a firm leader, they’ll be affectionate, loyal and protective of the family. Plus, they tend to do well with children and other dogs, if raised together.

Rottweilers tend to develop especially strong bonds with members of the family, and we see this with the Rotterman too. Despite their looks, they need a lot of human attention and interaction to become great house pets.

RECOMMENDED: 31 Radiant Rottweiler Mixes

19. Doberman Corso

Parents: Cane Corso x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (19)

The Cane Corso and Doberman Pinscher mix results in the Doberman Corso – an ultimate guard dog for all families. While Corsos were originally bred for hunting, they do have a relatively mild temperament that compliments the Dobe.

Both parents are highly trainable, which bodes well for the Doberman Corso. From the Corso side, they may be more reserved and calm than a Doberman. However, the high confidence and vigilance of the Doberman is likely to be inherited.

Corsos, after all, are mastiffs. So the Doberman Corso will be a large dog with good heft. Again, this mix is best for experienced owners only. Given the sheer size and strength of these dogs, they may be more difficult to control.

20. Great Dobernees

Parents: Great Pyrenees x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (20)

The Great Dobernees is the fantastic crossbreed between the Great Pyrenees and Doberman. From the good looks to mild tempers, there’s a lot we love about the Dobernees. It’s just a shame they’re such a rare hybrid.

The two parent breeds have a similar temperament: confident, fearless, loyal and brave. But what the Pyrenees brings to the table is the patience seen in this hybrid. In other words, they’ll be protective of kids as a great second set of eyes.

And depending on which parent they take more from, the coat can lean either way. We tend to see the Great Dobernees have a fur coat that can be short, long or in between. In addition, the color of these dogs may vary as well.

21. Doberdor

Parents: Labrador x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (21)

There’s a reason why Labradors are America’s favorite dogs. They strike the perfect balance of fun play, love and companionship. As such, the Labrador-Doberman mix, called the Doberdor, is a standout hybrid with very enticing qualities.

From the Doberman side, they’re going to be brave, protective and devoted – all top qualities in a family dog. However, the Labrador parent brings a fun-loving and playfulness we don’t often see in purebred Dobermans.

While the physical qualities tend to vary, the Doberdor will be a large and strong dog with a slim yet muscular build. Although they would love to cuddle up, they’re reserved for families that can provide them an active lifestyle.

RECOMMENDED: 40 Loving Labrador Mixes

22. Dobie-Basset

Parents: Basset Hound x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (22)

Dobie Bassets may very well take the cake for the most unusual Doberman mix. On one hand, you have a silly-looking Basset Hound. On the other, is the brawny Doberman Pinscher. The result, though, is a great family pet nonetheless.

Dobie Bassets will take the form of the Basset Hound, though they’re likely to be taller and a bit bigger. The short legs and long bodies will likely pass on to the hybrid. And chances are, they will inherit the black and tan colors of the Doberman.

Odd appearance aside, they’re quite intelligent and loyal dogs. They have the versatility to be excellent watchdogs, but also decent hunting and tracking dogs. And from the Basset side, the compassion and friendliness towards kids will be inherited.

23. Doberdoodle

Parents: Poodle x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (23)

The Doodleman Pinscher, or the Standard Poodle and Doberman hybrid, combines two very proud and intelligent dog breeds. While they may look different, the two parent dogs share qualities that perfectly mesh into this Dobie mix.

For example, both parents are faithful, confident, alert and highly trainable. The Doberdoodle mix only heightens these traits in the dog. In addition, both breeds rank among the top 5 for work and obedience intelligence, ensuring Doodlemans will be smart.

What the two differ in is appearance. Sometimes, they may take on the shape of a Doberman with the signature curly coat of the Poodle. As for colors, they tend to learn towards black or a gray, depending on parentage.

RECOMMENDED: 50 Perfect Poodle Mixes

24. Doberland

Parents: Newfoundland x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (24)

The Doberland Pinschers are the hybrid of the Newfoundland and Doberman. As intense and bold as the Doberman may be, the Newfie side balances it out with a calm demeanor that’s so rare to find in such a large dog breed.

Newfoundlands are sweet-tempered, gentle and docile dogs. On the other hand, Dobermans are active, valiant and energetic. Together, the Doberland offers a lively side when playing and working, but a calmer temperament in the home.

Doberlands will be large dogs, as both parents are massive. Though Newfoundlands are nanny dogs, the more-active Doberland may be a hazard to small kids. For example, their upbeat personalities can make them inadvertently push a child down.

25. Auberman Pinscher

Parents: Aussie x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (25)

One of my favorite Dobie mixes, the Auberman combines the cheerful and energetic Australian Shepherd with the Doberman Pinscher. The result will be an optimistic and happy-go-lucky mix that thrives when working the field.

While Dobermans are loving, there are few dogs as affectionate as the Aussie. They are good-natured dogs with a soft spot for members of the family. However, Aubermans inherit the alert and vigilant personalities from both parents.

Both parents are premier working dogs, and it’s easy to see why the Auberman is too. This will mean they need plenty of exercise daily (1-2 hours). Plus, mental stimulation is just as essential for these dogs. Otherwise, expect destruction in the home.

26. Weimarman

Highlights: Weimaraner x Doberman mix

26 Dazzling Doberman Pinscher Mixes (Dobe Hybrids) (26)

The Weimarman, or the Doberman and Weimaraner hybrid, is a rare designer dog that needs to make this list. Crossbreeding two of my favorite breeds, the Weimarman is a milder version of a Doberman, at least in the home.

Despite being very different dogs, the two parent breeds have a lot of temperament traits that overlap. As a result, these traits they have in common often shines in the mix. For example, a Weimarman will be brave, friendly, loyal and obedient.

As for appearance, the Weimarman can vary. The head shape will most likely resemble the Weimaraner, but the body can lean more towards the Doberman. Weimarmans can also inherit either the black coat or grey coat from the respective parents.
